Dance lessons are available Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings in the spring, fall and winter months. These lessons are administered through the Township of North Dundas and those wishing to register should phone the township during regular business hours at 613-774-2105 or visit the Township's website:  https://www.northdundas.com/community-recreation/programs-registration.

There are a variety of lessons available and classes are geared to what people have said they would prefer, as well as the need for participants to continue what they have learned.  The next set of lessons will begin September 17, 2026.

Dance taught is American Standard ballroom, which is most typically danced everywhere in the region.   Dances taught include:  Bachata, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Tango, Triple Swing, Waltz, Tango, and West Coast Swing.

Fall 2026 Dance Classes
Would you like to be comfortable dancing at weddings, parties, community events or out with your friends?   Register for one or more dances and be amazed at how after a few lessons you will be moving around the dance floor with confidence.  There are Saturday night and Sunday afternoon dances to perfect what you have learned.

Register through the Township of North Dundas (see above)
.  The fall lessons will begin on September 17, 2026.  Each session has 8 evening classes and the cost is $120 per person.  Classes are upstairs in the Chesterville Community Hall, 1 Mill Street Chesterville.

Ballroom lessons are taught by professional dance instructor Lorna Jackle from
the Dance2Live Ballroom Studio in Ottawa. An outstanding instructor.

We need to have a minimum of 8 people on average registered in classes for the class to proceed.  Registration for lessons will open later this summer.
