This Code of Conduct has been created by the Chesterville Ballroom Dancers Group to define standards and expectations for all people participating in our organization and its activities, as well as the consequences of not doing so. Its purpose is to ensure a positive, supportive space for everyone to learn, practice and enjoy ballroom dance. Everyone must adhere to this Code of Conduct. 1. Respect, Consent & Personal Safety The Chesterville Ballroom Dancers Group will not tolerate any form of harassment or abuse, and offenders will be held accountable. Any person who feels harassed while participating in a group activity is strongly encouraged to report it to the instructor, dance host, or person-in-charge. Everyone is expected to :

3. Enforcement, Authority to Act, and Consequences Offenders will be asked to stop the disrespectful behavior immediately. Should the behavior continue, and/or there is a concern for the safety or well-being of other people, the group, or the environment, the offender will be asked to leave. The offender may also be banned from attending any of the group's future classes and/or events. The incident will also be documented, and a copy of this incident will remain on file with the Chesterville Ballroom Dancers Group. If deemed advisable or necessary, the incident will also be reported to North Dundas Township and the Ontario Provincial Police. Any immediate enforcement actions taken are at the sole discretion of the instructor, host or person-in-charge. |
